'Shipwreck Island: Sunken Clues to Bermuda's Past'

Travel back to the dawn of the Atlantic world, when European ships crossed the ocean in search of new lands and riches. Learn about Bermuda's discovery and early settlement through a collection of 16th- and 17th-century shipwreck artifacts. Find out about the discovery of Bermuda's earliest shipwrecks, underwater archaeology and why we can be called Shipwreck Island.

'The Hall of History'

After 3.5 years and over 7000 hours of painting, the Hall of History is complete. Come see 500 years

of Bermuda history Illustrated in a mural covering 1000 square feet by local artist Graham Foster.

'Prisoners in Paradise'

PRISONERS IN PARADISE explores Bermuda’s role as a repository for colonial prisoners, and the story of those held captive in Bermuda. Features handiworks made of Bermuda cedar, stone, coral and other materials crafted by the convicts and Boer and First and Second World War POWs during their time on the Island.

Housed in the newly restored ammunition High Cave Magazine dating from the late 1870s.


'U-505 Captured'

An exhibit telling the remarkable story of the capture of the German U-505 submarine off western Africa and its hiding at Bermuda. Featuring artwork by local maritime artist Cpt. Stephen Card and a model built by All Wood Ship. On permanent display at the US Navy Room, Commissioner's House


The Progress of Power: The Story of Electricity in Bermuda'

Featuring interactive displays and historic electrical equipment, this exhibit commemorates over a century of electricity in Bermuda and explores the challenges of electric generation and supply in one of the world's most remote maritime communities. On permanent display in the Boat Loft, Lower Grounds.
